Laura Pavlakovich has lived with type one diabetes nearly all her life. It wasn’t until she met the mother of a newly diagnosed young type one, that she figured out she could merge her passion for photography with her lifelong disease.

It didn’t take long for You’re Just My Type to be born. She set out to photograph as many other type one diabetics as she could and share their stories- to break down stigmas, spread awareness, and put a face to this invisible disease.

She hopes to connect people all sharing the same highs, lows, victories and struggles- no matter what side of the world they may live on. Combining photography with personal interviews, You’re Just My Type seek to ensure that nobody living on this planet with type 1 diabetes feels alone.
